IMPORTANT NOTE:
Herbalists are not legally allowed to provide medical advice, diagnosis, prevention, cure, medical treatments, etc., and due to FDA guidelines, we are responsible for making this clear to clients and others we serve.
IF there is a designated herbalist-client relationship with a proper client intake form completed and a liability waiver completed, then an herbalist can provide suggestions to an individual client. At this time, my client caseload is full. I will have some open spots coming up soon as people cycle in and out. Feel free to reach out to me at heidivillegas@healingharvesthomestead.com if you’re interested in a consultation. If I’m not able to add you to my caseload, I know several excellent Christian herbalists I can refer you to.
Please do NOT reach out to me to ask for medical advice. I feel really badly when I’m not allowed to dig in and provide help because I understand personally how frustrating health needs and issues can be. My suggestion is to either find a good herbalist who can work with you one-on-one, OR do what many of my students do and start learning herbalism so you can take care of your own health and give yourself and your family more health choices.
Finally, you’ll see my disclaimer everywhere, but I’m going to say the disclaimer here as well as in other places on our sites:
I am not a medical doctor. I do not treat, cure, diagnose, or prevent disease or make any implication to do so. My statements on YouTube, on my website, in my school, and anywhere else I share content is for educational purposes only. No herbal statements are in any way approved by the FDA. No information I provide is meant to be a substitute for suggestions and prescriptions made by your medical provider. Be sure to seek guidance from your medical provider before adding herbs and essential oils to your healthcare routine, especially if you are on medications, pregnant, nursing, elderly, or for children. These statements are not evaluated by the FDA. You, as an individual, are solely responsible for your health choices.

We reserve the right to remove members of the community, both free and paid students, for breaking community rules at any time. Refunds will not be given to paid students in this event. Membership in the student community is a bonus and not a paid part of any course.
We reserve the right to remove members of the community, both free and paid, from the searchable video platform, Searchie.
We also reserve the right to remove students from courses and course materials immediately should there be any theft of materials or any other breach of contract (not fulfilling a payment plan, etc.). Students, in the case of any theft or damage including slander, etc., will also be removed from any and all courses they are enrolled in without refunds.
Students enrolled in a certification course must pay for the entire course before a certificate will be issued. Therefore, if certification requirements are met while a student is on a payment plan, the payment plan must be fulfilled completely or the balance paid in full before the certification is issued.
BONUSES in courses and memberships: We reserve the right to remove any bonus material at any time from any course or membership that is not integral to the educational promise of that course or membership. This includes additional courses, inclusion in a free or paid student community, and access to Searchie.
NOTE: We also reserve the right to take legal action if we deem necessary.
In addition to our honesty policies, here are the rules for the Healing Harvest Homestead, LLC community areas:
Rules of the Community:
Rules in a growing community are vital for the community to function and remain a place where people find value.
The “Community”:
Our community consists of the student community for courses where students have a student group (currently the Tribe and DTDS/Family Herbalist Certification), as well as the wider community for homestead and self-sufficiency and faith information. The community also includes the email list, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and anywhere else there are subscribers and followers.
1) Kindness and respect for others
I’m so proud of how people in our community relate to each other. In this past year, with all the topics of discussion out in the world, this community is one where people can respectfully ask opinions of others about topics that are sensitive. Answers are also respectful. Name calling, put downs, and general disrespect just don’t exist in this community. Members who get nasty may get a polite warning, although we reserve the right to immediately remove a person if we deem it necessary.
2) No New Age, pagan, occult, or other non-Judeo-Christian information is supported nor allowed within the community
Please don’t post any information about astrology, magic, spell-casting, ancestral healing, goddesses, or other pagan or New Age influences. This community is based on Judeo-Christian faith and values. Please respect this rule. This doesn’t apply to science-backed energy healing systems such as acupuncture, using magnets, etc.
Especially in herbalism, it’s easy to come across New Age- and occult-influenced information….these shares will be removed. I teach traditional use plus science and evidence-based herbalism, and the community needs to be reflective of this.
NOTE: I feel strongly about this rule because of my own early experiences in the herbal world and also the fact that Christians often do not have a voice about this in other herbal groups on social media. You can read more about this here if you want.
3) No politics or other divisive topics
We discourage any political postings. This community is a calm and happy place. It’s not a place for political debates (nobody ever “wins”) because it causes anger and nastiness. Leave this out of the group. This includes symbols, profile pictures, etc., discussions about elections, etc.
It’s fine to ask a question about how to protect your home and life without bringing in the politics. It's also ok to discuss current events that have to do with self-reliance without bringing in politics. :-)
4) ***Posting Content from Sources Outside Healing Harvest Homestead’s Site or YouTube Channel:
Before posting a link to a website outside of my own hundreds of published articles, books, and videos, I appreciate if you will please search my sites for the information to share first. There is a LOT of incorrect and unsafe information out there online written by people who aren’t trained in certain areas, such as herbalism and aromatherapy (use of essential oils).
If you're posting anything regarding herbalism, aromatherapy, or natural skincare uses, please chat me or Joe V FIRST.
I’m more lenient when it comes to general information, like canning, chickens, etc. BUT for herbalism and essential oils, which have to do with our health and wellness, there’s potential liability for us all. Also, this is our business, which we've worked very hard to create and nurture into a wonderful community.
**I am NOT liable for any posts that contain unsafe information inside the group. Before taking advice off the internet, including from members of the group, please be sure you do your own research before using herbs and essential oils. Also, I’m not a medical doctor, and very few of us are. This is not a site for medical advice; and in no manner, stated or implied, is any suggestion made by me meant to treat, diagnose, prevent, or cure any disease. Please read through the article about using proper language to ask herbal and essential oil questions. You’ll find this in the Featured section under Discovery.
Bottom Line: Please just err on the side of caution and ask me first before posting something you’re not trained in, have experience with, or have thoroughly researched via a number of resources, OR that might potentially compete with my own material unless you check with me first. I may have to remove members who violate this rule.
Finally, please do NOT spam the community with random articles. Even if you’re in love with the person’s content, this just doesn’t align with what our community is about, which is actually “talking” to each other. :-)
NOTE: This rule also applies to students as well as general community members. I don’t have the time to go back and forth about postings. I will simply remove a person who is causing issues.
5) Language, Presentation, and Interactions in the Community:
All interactions within the group, whether private in chats or public in the larger group, are required to be written or spoken in the English language. No reminders will be given. This is to keep our community a safe place and a place that continues to be aligned with our values here.
***PLEASE do join with a name. This community is about connecting with each other. By using a business name or other type of name, or initials only, the community and "human" aspect is reduced.
Please use a profile photo of some kind. You don't need to do this, but it's the kind thing to do in this private community. This helps us know who we're talking with and also provides a more "human" connection between members here. These profile pictures MUST NOT contain political, vulgarity, or references to the occult.
6) Confidentiality:
All interactions and items you read about here are to remain confidential. Please don't share stories or information along with names outside this community or even within it. Our community is a refuge for many of us, and being worried about sensitive information being shared isn't what we're about in here. Please do respect this commonsense rule. With that said, Healing Harvest Homestead, LLC is not responsible for members’ shares outside the community or within it. Be sensible about what you choose to share.
7) Using Affiliate Links or Advertising in the Community:
Please do NOT post affiliate links in the community without first checking in with me or Joe. We do NOT approve of many things on the market, and this includes some supplements. Also, the FTC has specific guidelines regarding using affiliate links. Therefore, for the safety and consideration of the community, we ask you just NOT to post these. This also extends to distributors and direct sellers.
8) Removal from the Community
Once in awhile, I must remove members for breaking rules. I also remove posts that aren’t aligned with the community. If you’re not sure about posting something in a topic area, please feel free to reach out to me (Heidi Villegas), Joe (Mr. V.), or any of the other moderators of the group.
We reserve the right to immediately remove members of the community for breaking the community rules with or without a warning first. Unfortunately, this includes students enrolled in courses as well. No refunds will be given on purchases made if member removal needs to happen due to breaking community rules.
Any refunds made or not made will be at our discretion. The student community is considered a “bonus” and not part of the purchased course materials.
Removal/Refunds from Courses and the Confident Herbalist Tribe Membership:
Should dishonest behaviors, such as setting up payment plans, downloading all course material, and reneging on the plan, occur, student will be removed immediately and no refunds will be given. Student will be removed from all aspects of the school. A student who engages in this behavior may also be legally liable at our discretion for any damages, inconvenience, etc.
Refund periods vary by course. Please be sure to look at these at the time of purchase. No refunds will be given after 30 days. Most of our courses provide two to five days for students to determine if the course is a suitable match for their needs.
Student Enrollments
Students need to sign up for all accounts with HHH using the same email address and name. Although we do our best to help students figure out the issues that arise when a student has several different accounts we are not responsible for any missed time in the course or the student’s inability to sign in under this circumstance. We do not issue refunds for student errors such as this.
Inclusion and Exclusion from Student Communities
For our larger courses, we have special, private student communities to enhance the learning process for students. These special communities are BONUSES to the main course and are not part of the regular course. The communities (sometimes called student groups) are not necessary for students to complete the study materials successfully. HHH and its assigns reserve the right to remove any student from any community at any time if we deem it necessary for any reason. Examples include but are not limited to: breaking the community rules, harassment of any kind to any person, disparagement, and other interactions not conducive to healthy community.
